Samuel Ruggles Aiken was born on October 28, 1803 in Hardwick, Massachusetts to John and Sarah Aiken. Before 1869, Samuel Ruggles Aiken headed to the Western United States with fellow pioneers and settled in Utah. In 1871, he was the recorder of city council minutes for Spring City, Utah which had been incorporated in 1870 from its original name of Spring Town. John Robb Baxter (1851-1930) served as Justice of the Peace for Sanpete County, Utah. John Robb Baxter was born 9 February 1851 in Aberdeen, Scotland to John Baxter and Jean Mckenzie Robb. He married Janet Gardiner Jack on 16 November 1887 in Logan, Cache, Utah. They had seven children. John served as Justice of the Peace for Sanpete County, Utah, in 1890.
